So, Christmas is here and yet again, another year has flown by!

Thank you to all of you for entrusting us with your care and supporting Akitu throughout 2022.

Before we sign off for the year, and take a few weeks of well-earned rest, we would like to pass on some tips for managing the Christmas festivities and staying safe this holiday season:

Enjoy yourself, eat, drink and be merry – but don’t be stupid. Everything in moderation, especially alcohol, will keep you in a        present state, where you can enjoy the celebrations without the hangover, the regrets of poor behaviour, and the guilt of poor decisions.

Remember that things don’t need to be picture perfect to be amazing! Practice mindfulness, enjoy being in the moment, and drop the stress of creating a “perfect” day – it’s your day too, so enjoy it!

Take lots of photos but stop worrying about making them “insta-perfect”. Quick and candid shots, that you can laugh about later, make the best memories.

It really is the thought that counts. Don’t buy gifts that create a huge debt stress to deal with next week and beyond – create thoughtful, affordable options so you can enjoy Christmas without the debt hangover.

Take some time to rest – lay on the couch, watch a good ol’ Christmas movie, and snuggle up with your loved ones.

Now, it is time to take a few weeks off to spend time with the family, rest and recharge, ready for a huge 2023.

We have been working hard on some fantastic projects which will be launching early in the new year, and we can’t wait to bring them to you!

Wishing you all a safe, happy, and joyous festive season with your loved ones.

Take care of yourselves, and we will see you in 2023!
